Football championship of Kyrgyzstan will expand to 10 clubs

The number of teams participating in the Kyrgyz Football Championship will increase to 10 starting from the 2022 season. It is reported by Sport.kg with reference to the official website of the KPFL.

It is reported, that “Neftchi”, “Abdysh-Ata”, “Alai”, “Kaganat”, “Alga”, “Dordoi”, “Ilbirs”, “Kara-Balta”, as well as two newcomers will take part in the tournament next season. - "Talent" of the Children's Sports School IVS and "Nur-Batken".

In the 2021 season, “Dordoi” Bishkek became the champion of Kyrgyzstan, which made it to the group stage of the AFC Cup-2022. 8 teams participated in the last draw of the tournament.

The Football Championship of Kyrgyzstan has been held since 1992. Managed by the Kyrgyz Professional Football League (KPFL).

In the current season of the championship of Kyrgyzstan, the Turkmen goalkeeper Rahat Japarov will play. The football player moved to the “Abdysh-Ata” team in January.
