The news outlet “AIF Dagestan” with reference to the public affairs office of Makhachkala commercial sea port reported on 30 May that representatives of Russian and Turkmen transportation companies discussed cooperation in the Caspian Sea region.
The meeting between Deputy Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian Federal Marine and River Transport Agency Viktor Olerskiy and chairperson of Turkmenistan’s Logistics Association Mele Bekmuradov was held in Moscow.
The sides discussed restoring ferry service between the ports of Makhachkala and Turkmenbashi and the possibility of increasing the volumes of cargo shipments through the ports of Russia and Turkmenistan.
