Fees for motor vehicle inspection in Turkmenistan increase 11 fold

The fees charged for the annual inspection of passenger vehicles in Ashgabat have skyrocketed from 7 to 107 manats, correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report.

In provinces the fees for the vehicle inspection have always been rounded to 10 manats.

According to our sources, the fees for the motor vehicle inspection in Dashoguz increased up to 120 manats.

It сan be expected that the increase in vehicle maintenance fees will lead to the increase in taxi fare, fees for logistics services and, consequently, the price hike merchandise and groceries.

Let us recall that the price hike for petrol which was recorded in February 2018 also resulted in price increase throughout the country.
