“I would like to merge my sorrow and sadness into one word and throw this word to the wind so that the wind would take it away” these are the words from the romance of Pyotr Ylyich Tchaikovsky that was performed by Begench Moshiyev in beautiful dramatic tenor at his solo concert in Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory.
In the meantime, snow-covered tops of spruce trees were looking into the windows highlighting the uniqueness of romantic moment. Not that many people have gathered in classroom No. 55 due to the pandemic, New Year bustle and heavy snow in Ashgabat but it was true music connoisseurs.
For them, Begench has performed the Aria of Tamerlane from the Tamerlane by Georg Frideric Hendel, the Aria of Bastien from Bastien and Bastienne by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Cavardossi Aria from Tosca by Giacomo Puccini and other.
The European was replaced with Turkmen classic music and Begench Moshoyev has sung the songs of Hydyr Allanurov and Chary Nurymov “Sover yar” and “Zary bilen”.The fifth-grade student Myahri Moshieyva, the student of Svetlana Kasparova, was accompanying him on the grand piano.
No, it is not a mistake.Myahri and Begench have the same surname as they are spouses. The host of the concert has announced the aria of Magtumguly from Magtumguly Opera and some excitement has been felt in the classroom.
The thing is that this opera was performed in Magtumguly Theatre back in 2012 and the aria of Magtumguly was performed by the forth-grade student Begench Moshiyev. It was the first time in the history of music life of Turkmenistan that the leading role in opera was given to the student!
How was your creativity after the aria of Magtumguly? This question we asked Begench Moshiyev after the concert.Back in 2013, they directed the Gyrorgly Opera, in which I was performing a comedian role of Kyose.
But if you allow me, I will tell about my carrier from the beginning.Sure.I have revealed my vocal skills myself. It happened when I was studying fortepiano in Dashoguz music school and was singing for myself at home when I had free time.
It was very good singing so I was even invited to the wedding parties as a singer.Probably, I would live my whole life like this but one time, I have found a classic work of Aman Agajikov “Moonlight evening”.
This romans has changed my destiny. Finally, I realized what I want from my life I want to be an opera singer.I had an initial musical education, with which I could have enter only the department of popular singing in the conservatory.
I have submitted my paperwork to this department. At the first entry exam, having listened to my voice, the entry board has moved me to the vocal department.
I have found myself among the classmates who were freely singing Italian arias while I had only the romance of Moonlight Evening on my repertoire.I have given a word to myself to catch up with them in five years.
Well, in the conservatory, it has happened by itself. After the graduation, I have worked in Magtumguly Music and Drama Theatre for 6 years. It was a good artistic school for me.
For example, I have played Asker in the Arshyn mal Alan operetta by Useir Gajibekov as well as the role of Bahtiyar in stage version of Nurullo Abboskhon “Youngest Daughter-in-law”.
Why did you leave the theatre?I always had a passion for singing. For example, I could not afford such solo concert in the theatre.Nowadays, I work as a teacher of the popular singing department of Turkmen National Conservatory.
My wife Myahri is finishing her education in fortepiano at the Chamber orchestra department. How is it is to perform together as husband and wife? When my colleagues have found out that I prepare a solo concert they said “That is very good to have concertmaster wife you can rehearse at anytime and anywhere, at home and work”.
I have to disappoint you all our baby does not accept any concerts and requires full attention of his mom and dad.We congratulate you and Myahri on coming New Year and wish big artistic success!
Taking the opportunity, I would like to congratulate all lovers of opera art on New Year celebration and wish them pleasant concerts in New Year.
