Export Trades at Turkmen Exchange For Feb. 7-12: $56.4 Million

The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $56.4 million.

For foreign currency, the businesses from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan purchased liquefied gas, base oil, motor gasoline and refined paraffin produced at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while the Emirati and Afghan businesses bought liquefied natural gas produced by enterprises of Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) and Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) state concerns, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.

The companies from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton yarn for foreign currency.

Businesses from the UAE, Pakistan and Afghanistan purchased handmade Turkmen carpets, cotton yarn, a thick extract of licorice root for over 16 million manats.

For the domestic market, local businesses purchased high-density polyethylene (HDPE) of Türkmenhimiýa and hand-made carpets for nearly 14 million manats.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 89 transactions last week.
