Export Trades at Turkmen Exchange For Feb. 21-26: $8 Million

The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week neared $8 million.

For foreign currency, the businesses mainly from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and China purchased motor gasoline, aviation kerosene and unrefined paraffin produced at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while the Afghan businesses purchased liquefied natural gas of Seydi oil refinery, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.

The Emirati and Kyrgyz businesses purchased plain-dyed and jacquard terry products, and cotton yarn for foreign currency.

Businesses from Russia, the UAE, Turkey and Kazakhstan purchased handmade Turkmen carpets and cotton yar for nearly 32 million manats.

For the domestic market, local businesses purchased portland cement worth over $164.27 thousand, and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and hand-made carpets for over 13.32 million manats.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 20 transactions last week.
