The world’s EXPO-2020 is going to receive 25 million visitors from every corner of the globe, despite the restrictions connected with the pandemic. The exhibition was postponed by one year and will start on October 1, 2021.
As informed by Manal Al Bayat, the head of sales department and marketing communications EXPO-2020, organising committee holds regular meetings to develop the plan of safe reception of visitors from every corner of the globe.
We are lucky that the Expo village has an big area, so we will not necessarily face this problem, but we constantly hold estimations of capacity of a platform taking into account the rule of social distancing which show, how many persons we can accept at an hour and solve, what measures to accept if their number is exceeded, noted Al Bayat, having specified that EXPO-2020 is not going to change look-ahead indicators on number of visitors.
As was informed earlier, building of pavilions will be finished by the end of 2020, and the last several months will be devoted to their internal furnish and territory accomplishment. The world’s fair will last till March 31, 2022.
In the exhibition the theme of which “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, 192 countries will take part. It will be the first EXPO in the region of the Near East and Africa.
The private companies, educational institutions and governmental organisations will show at the world’s fair the solutions on overcoming of global challenges in the sphere of energy, stability, agriculture and public health services.
The Expocentre of EXPO-2020 is located on a total area of 4, 38 sq.km around Dubai South and is near to the international airport Al Maktum and is connected by transport routes with the international airport of Dubai, the international airport of Abu-Dhabi and cruise terminals of Dubai and Abu-Dhabi.
The territory of EXPO -2020 is divided into three thematic sectors “Opportunity”, “Mobility” and “Sustainability”.
