Experts of Skolkovo Moscow Management School present the review in digitization sphere

Seminar dedicated to digital economy organized by the Acdemy of Sciences of our country and Representative Office of the United Nations Development Programme in Turkmenistan has started work in Yildyz Hotel of the capital.

Specialists of the ministries of Finances and Economy, Communication and Education as well as Central Bank, State Statistic Committee, the Inion of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and other participate in the training.

Being international experts, representatives of Skolkovo Moscow Management School presented the reviews of advanced world practice in this sphere.In February this year, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered the Academy of Science to develop the State Programme “Digital Turkmenistan”, which main objectives is to stimulate the development of information and communication technologies, to improve the input of this sector to the GDP of the country and to eliminate digital difference in life of the population of the velayats, cities and settlements.

The Programme is to support rapid transition to innovative way of national economy, improvement of labour involvement in scientifically based branches, implementation of advanced technologies in production and complete transfer to digital documentation and system of electronic identification of individual.

The participants of the seminar noted that Turkmenistan has significant capabilities for development of digital infrastructure using telemedicine, computer and telecommunication technologies.In this context, the practice of foreign experts is to support the acceleration of the introduction of advanced technologies of digitization to the institutions of the country.

The seminar will last until November 23.During the forum, the participants will be familiarized with the aspects of digital economy including its business models, cooperation with traditional economy and the main socially important branches, etc.
