Exhibition in honor of the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan opened in Ankara

On August 16, 2021, the opening ceremony of an exhibition of photographs and cultural values in honor of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan was held at the Congress Hall of the National Library of Turkey in Ankara.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, international organizations, heads of diplomatic missions of Kazakhstan, Oman, Somalia, Chile, Bangladesh, Moldova and Portugal in Turkey, Turkmen students, media representatives and others.

The exposition presents books, albums, photographs revealing the rich history and original culture of the Turkmen people, the picturesque nature of the country and architectural monuments, musical instruments, jewelry.

A significant part of the exposition is dedicated to the works of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.In addition, the works of modern Turkmen prose writers and lyricists are presented to the attention of visitors.

The ceremony ended with a tasting of Turkmen national cuisine.

The exhibition will last on August 18, according to the press service of our country's embassy in Turkey.
