Today, events to mark the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 are starting in Turkmenistan.
Numerous foreign guests have already arrived in Ashgabat - representatives of international organizations, figures of science, culture and art, journalists from well-known media who are taking part in a number of major events this week, reports the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The opening ceremony of the wide program “Anau - the cultural capital of the Turkic world-2024” will take place this afternoon in the Türkmeniň ak öýi building in the Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat.
As part of the ceremony, there will be a joint concert of vocalists, an exhibition of works by masters of fine and decorative arts, and works by photographers - representatives of the Turkic peoples.
In the morning, guests who came to take part in the celebrations went on an excursion to the city of Arkadag, where they will see a performance by the Galkynysh equestrian group.
According to the program, on March 27, the international conference “Main directions and opportunities for the development of tourism in Turkmenistan” will start at the Yyldyz Hotel.Leaders and representatives of specialized international organizations, as well as tour operators from around the world are invited to the event.
Guests will get acquainted with unique historical and cultural monuments, museum collections and, in general, the tourism potential of Turkmenistan.Within the framework of the forum, meetings of specialists and the signing of documents on cooperation between tourism structures are planned.
The event is intended to become an important event in the implementation of the Program for the Development of International Cooperation of Turkmenistan in the Tourism Industry for 2024-2025.
On March 28, the media forum “Turkmen Land the Center of Ancient Civilizations” will be held with the participation of media representatives from the TURKSOY member states and partner countries of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.
