President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the events on occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in 1941 1945 Great Patriotic War.
This year celebration activities were marked with important event. Combat flag of the 748th Riffle Regiment, 206th Riffle Division, in which grandfather of the President of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamed Annayev used to fight, have been delivered to Ashgabat by aircraft.
As is known, magnificent Memorial Complex Halk hakydasy was built to the memory of valiant Motherland defenders as well as to the victims of devastating Ashgabat earthquake 1948.
Every year, Ashgabat citizens and guests of the capital, people of different ages and nationalities come to this place to pay tribute to the memory of their compatriots who were lost in the most blood shed war in the history.
President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in traditional flower laying ceremony to the Memorial Complex Halk hakydasy.
Following the Head of the State, Chairperson of the Mejlis Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of military and law enforcement agencies put flowers to the memorials.
They were followed by the heads of public organizations and chairmen of the Mejlis committees. Flowers from the veterans of the Great Patriotic War were laid to the pedestal of the monument. It is followed by personnel of rare front and widows of the war veterans.
The flowers were laid by the guests invited to the ceremony including Deputy Defence Minister of Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexander Fomin and members of his delegation.
They were followed by foreign diplomats working in the country as well as the Mejlis deputies, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of military and law enforcement agencies, public organizations of the country, numerous Ashgabat citizens and guests of Turkmen capital.
Grandiose celebration was continued with ceremonial military parade with participation of Turkmen warriors who deservingly continue traditions of glorious ancestors standing guard on the gains of independence and creative life of the nation.
Vehicles with sanctuary Combat Flag of the 748the Riffle Regiment, 206th Riffle Regiment have come to the Memorial from Ashgabat International Airport.

The fanfares are played by the military orchestra of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan. The master of the ceremony announced on the start of events on occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in 1941- 1945 Great Patriotic War.
After national anthem of Turkmenistan, the master of ceremony gave floor to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Addressing the participants, the Head of the State congratulated Turkmen people and especially veterans of war and labour on widely observed 75th anniversary of the Great War.
The President noted that our country has made deserved contribution to this grandiose Victory.Warriors from Turkmenistan, who went through ordeals of the past war, demonstrated courage, heroism and dedication to the Motherland.
More than 70,000 were awarded with orders and medals. 104 Turkmenistan citizens were conferred with high title of the Hero of Soviet Union, 15 have become full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory.
Thousands of our countrymen were lost in brutal battles.
Our people surrounded people evacuated from the front line with fraternal care and was working hard.The President noted with pride that Turkmen women have demonstrated high humanity, having handed in around 7,400 kg of gold and silver jewellery.
The Head of Turkmenistan highlighted that elder generation is our pride.Defending peace on the plant and happy future, our fathers and grandfathers have covered themselves with unfading glory.
The Head of the State noted that today, following legal status of neutrality, Turkmenistan put huge efforts for strengthening of peace on the planet, carry out necessary work for expansion of beneficial cooperation with different states of the world, strengthening of atmosphere of trust and understanding.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that 4.5 thousand war and labour veterans of Turkmenistan were awarded with anniversary medal of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in 1941 1945 great Patriotic War according to the Order of the President of Russian Federation.
Despite the fact that severe years of war have past long ago, suffering, pain and loss of people, its courage will never be forgotten and will live in the memory of successors as a symbol of heroism.
On this remarkable day, let me extend my cordial wishes of strong health, peace and prosperity to war veterans, rare front personnel and all citizens of our country and other states, President of Turkmenistan said in the end of his speech.

Addressing the veterans, soldiers and all Turkmenistan citizens, Russian guest noted that on this day, we celebrate 75th anniversary of the end of 1941 1945 Great Patriotic War the war, which demonstrated heroism and fortitude of soviet people to the whole world.
It was highlighted that is was soviet people who become reliable stronghold of entire humankind, the main liberator from brown plaque, May 9, 1945 is a day of our mourning, pride and joy with tears in our eyes, as it is sung in a song, day of our limitless gratitude to the Motherland defenders who destroyed fascism.
On this day, we honour people who made the Great Victory in this scary war; we bow our heads to the memory of those who defended our land from fascism by the cost of their lives.
For this day, the fought and worked, went through tremendous challenges and became overpowering stronghold for the occupants in the ordeal of battles. They have stood against all hardship. They have given everything they could including lives but they have won.
Many people went to war direct from school and left forever in the battlefields, having not known the joy of love and happiness of childbirth.
“I’m dying but not surrendering!” these words sound like echo in our hearts. We never forget courage and sacrifice of these people, that tremendous price they have paid for the Victory. Our forefathers, grandfathers and fathers fought arm-to-arm for the freedom and independence of the Motherland.
A. Fomin noted than more than 300,000 soldiers from Turkmenistan took part in the battles in all fronts of war and went up to the Reichstag walls. 104 of them were awarded with the high title of the Hero of Soviet Union.
We will always remember slogan “Everything for Victory!” as we have the second front in our rare where mothers, wives and even children were bringing this light day close with their selfless work.
Industrial facilities and military hospitals were opened in Turkmenistan; educational facilities were evacuated here and agricultural production has been increased several times.
Care and cordiality of fraternal Turkmen people who received orphan children from soviet republics affected by war will never be forgotten. This is a bright evidence of consolidation of entire country in front of cruel and merciless enemy.
Having noted that unfortunately there are attempts to revive the fascism ideology in some countries, falsification of common history, idolization of traitors and review of the role of soviet people in the victory over the fascism, Russian Deputy Defence Minister said that our goal, our conscience and our responsibility as successors of winner warriors, to whom we owe that we exist, is to keep sacredly the memory of their feat and to protect true heroes.
The honoured guest informed that combat banner of the 748th Riffle Regiment of the 206th Riffle Division of the 2nd Ukrainian Front is handed over to fraternal Turkmen people for eternal storage to keep historical memory.
This is the banner that Berdimuhamed Annayev, the grandfather of dear Gurbanguly Myalikguliyevich, the President of Turkmenistan, was fighting under. We bow our heads in front of all veteran, the generation of winners.
Now we live in peace, good neighbourhood and friendship and it is impossible to share the feat that our forefathers did, A. Fomin said. We will honour you all, dear veterans, and glorify the Victory, which we won, which is with us and will be the one for all of us. We bow our heads to you!

The solemn moment came and military officer of the Embassy of Turkmenistan to Turkmenistan handed over Combat banner of the 748th Riffle Regiment, 206th Riffle Division, under which grandfather of the President of the country, Lance Corporal Berdimuhamed Annayev used to fight, to Turkmen side.
In September 1943, being a military personnel of 748th Riffle Regiment, 2nd Ukrainian Front, he was one of the first who crossed Dnepr River. The banner of the regiment has become a symbol of bravery and unlimited courage of soldiers who was passing the river in that hard battle.
Today, life and work of this brave warrior and true patriot, who dedicated his life to teaching activity in time of peace, serve as an example of courage, morality, loyalty to sacred military and civil duty for younger generation.
At the order of the Commander of the solemn military parade, the banner group brought out the State Flag of Turkmenistan, the Flag of the Victory and Combat banner of the 748th Riffle Regiment, 206th Riffle Division and marched with pride in front of military personnel lined up on the square.
Another sacred relic the Medal of Honour, the high state award of Russian Federation conferred to brave soldier Berdimuhamed Annayev for personal courage and bravery defending the Motherland and serving his military duty in the years of the Great Patriotic War is carried on GAZ M20 Victory vehicle.
The commander of the solemn military parade drove along the troops lined up on the square and received reports on the readiness of personnel of Ashgabat Harrison.
Having received the reports, the Commander of the military parade greeted and congratulated the Motherland defenders on the 75th anniversary of the Victory in 1941 - 1945 Great Patriotic War and ordered to start the military parade.
First, cadets dressed in military uniform of cadets of war time marched first. They are followed by the battalion of soldiers who also wore military uniform of the Great Patriotic War days.
After, warriors of motorized riffle battalion, whose high-qualified training and high combat skills are reliable guarantee of security of the country.
Marines marched in orderly rows in front of the tribune. They were followed by personnel of artillery division. The parade was continued by the battalion of personnel of civil defence and rescue works.
They were followed by Türkmen edermen special force battalion. High level of combat, theoretical and physical training are the main distinguishing features of personnel of special forces and efficiency of solving combat tasks is the main principle of their activity.
Ride of military personnel on Turkmen horses was the adornment of the celebration parade in honour of the 75th anniversary of the Victory.As is known, 97th and 98th Turkmen Mounted Divisions have been formed in the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
Our horsemen fought in the most brutal battles and showed an exemplary heroism.Brave cavalrymen of these divisions went through the war from Stalingrad to berlin.Thousands of them were awarded with combat orders and medals.
The parade was continued with demonstration of military equipment of the Great Patriotic War days. Light GAZ-67B vehicle, which was started to be produced in 1943 and went through all roads of war, was in the beginning of the motorcade. All military divisions of the Red Army had this vehicle.
ZIS-5 cargo truck was one of the main transport vehicles during those times. It had Maxim machine gun installed on it for demonstration. It was followed by URAL-ZIS Cargo track with DSHK machine gun and soldiers wearing uniform of the Great Patriotic War times onboard.
URAL-ZIS with the legendary artillery unit B-13 “Katyusha”, which was the most modern weapon of Soviet artillery followed after.
The military review is continued with KAMAZ track with T-34 medium tank onboard. These tanks were the main armoured force of the Red Army. It was followed by KAMAZ with antitank artillery unit SU-100.
Celebration march in front of the tribune is continued by the participants of Immortal Regiment, which slogan is “Nobody and Nothing Forgotten”. Portray of grandfather of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Berdimuhamed Annayev, was carried with special honour among numerous pictures of warriors and rare front personnel.
… There is not a single family which have not been touched by the most merciless and bloodshed war in the history of humankind. Heroic history of those years finds response in our hearts. We bow our heads to unfading feat of the generation of Winners…
