Eldor Shomurodov scored the first goal in the history of the Uzbekistan team at the Olympic Games

Uzbekistan national team striker Eldor Shomurodov scored a historic goal in the match against Spain at the 2024 Olympics football tournament in Paris. The forward converted a penalty in added time to the first half (45+3), opening the scoring for Uzbekistan's goals at the Olympic Games.

Despite this achievement, the Uzbekistan team lost with a score of 1:2. Marc Pubil and Sergio Gomez scored for Spain. The match was held at the “Parc des Princes” stadium in Paris.

Uzbekistan and Spain play in group C along with Egypt and the Dominican Republic. The next match of the Uzbek national team will take place on July 27 in Nantes against Egypt. The meeting starts at 20:00 Ashgabat time.

The Olympic football tournament takes place from July 24 to August 10 in seven cities in France.
