Effective 1 July Turkmenistan Airlines are scheduled to resume regular flights Ashgabat-Moscow-Turkmenbashi, the news outlet SalamNews reported on 24 June with reference to the office of the air carrier.
Flights will be operated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
On 1 June Turkmenistan resumed regular airline service to Dubai and Kazan.
On 3 June the Embassy of Russia in Ashgabat reported that in connection with the resuming of regular air service between Russia and Turkmenistan (flights Ashgabat-Kazan-Turkmenabat operated by Turkmenistan Airlines) the Consular office of the Embassy suspended the acceptance of documents for charter flights to Russia.
Charter flights were last operated on 10, 17 and 24 June.
However, Turkmenistan Airlines are unable to cope with the flow of passengers wishing to purchase Kazan-Turkmenabat airline tickets.
In the meantime, Turkmen news reported that on 23 June 155 Turkmen nationals, including students, were repatriated to Turkmenistan in a flight from Minsk operated by Turkmenistan Airlines.
