EBRD is ready to consider the possibility of expanding its activities in Turkmenistan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is ready to consider the possibilities of expanding its activities in Turkmenistan in the areas of infrastructure and financial institutions.

About this reports Trend with reference to the Head of the EBRD Office in Turkmenistan Fatih Turkmenoglu, who noted that the global crisis affects on Turkmen exporters, who have only recently begun to increase their experience. They have to regularly review logistic, look for new export markets and adapt to changing conditions.

In this regard, it is very important to invest in the further development of export-oriented enterprises in Turkmenistan through financial and advisory support, said Fatih Turkmenoglu. The intensification of export operations leads to the diversification of the economic activity of Turkmenistan and an increase in the inflow of hard currency.

The key direction of the EBRD in Turkmenistan is the development of the private sector, and the bank is ready to consider the possibility of expanding its activities in the areas of infrastructure and financial institutions, said the Head of the EBRD Representative Office.
