EBRD invests 140 million euros in the development of Antalya Airport

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is investing 140 million euros in Antalya Airport in Turkey, Anadolu reports.

Investments will upgrade the infrastructure of the air harbor of the "tourist capital" of Turkey, improve energy efficiency and implement "green" initiatives.

These investments are part of a financing package that includes funds from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the EBRD explained.

Antalya International Airport (İCF) is located 10 km east of the city center. It is the main place of arrival for tourists to resorts located along the Mediterranean coast of the country. Takes about 19 million passengers annually.
