On 31 August, 2018 Turkmenistan’s Minister of Internal Affairs Isgender Mulikov presented President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov with the driving license and a vehicle registration certificate for the racing car in the run-up to “Amul-Khazar” car rally.
The certificate was issued on 10 June but has been handed over to the President only now.
It is not specified, however, whether the certificate was issued for the vehicle assembled by the President based on his own drawings or the one tested by him.
The head of the state was also presented with the samples of sports outfits featuring national emblems for pilots and navigators of the racing event.
Then the President signed the resolution on providing the participants of the car rally “Amul-Khazar 2018” with petrol and local diesel fuel.
Turkmenistan will be represented by 15 teams from the Motor Sports Centre of Turkmenistan’s Interior Ministry and Turkmenistan’s Motor Racing Federation. The crews will be competing in Nissan Patrol, Mitsubishi L 200, Chevrolet, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Lancruzer 200 as well as four-wheelers and trucks (MAN), according to the state information agency TDH.
Amul-Khazar” car rally will be held in Turkmenistan from 9 to 14 September.In July the head of the state made it clear that he also intends to take part in the race.
On 26 August President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedovhad the second training in the course of one week and tested a vehicle which will be used in the upcoming car rally.
The prize winners of the car rally will be awarded with the Turkmen national costumes as well as the symbol of V Asian Games the image of Central Asian Shepherd called Vepaly.
