Dragon Oil, a partner of the state concern “Turkmennebit”, has begun implementing artificial intelligence at oil fields during exploration, data processing and analysis of reservoir properties.
This was reported by SNG.Today with reference to an interview with the company's CEO Ali Rashid Al Jarwan on the sidelines of the OGT-2024 international forum in Ashgabat.
The company is very interested in further deepening the cooperation, Al Jarwan said.
Regarding innovative technologies, there is a clear focus on the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence in geological exploration, interpretation of its data and assessment of reservoir properties.
“We are discussing all these projects with the state concern”, - he noted. “The 3D seismic project has already been implemented on the territory of Turkmenistan on the Cheleken block and on the neighboring block 19. The results of these studies will form the basis of the program for diversifying energy resource production”.
Overall, thanks to Dragon Oil's contribution, over more than 30 years of cooperation, Turkmenistan has produced and developed approximately 450 million barrels of oil, the CEO added.
