Dovletjan Yagshymyradov will fight at the Bellator Grand Prix. This is reported by the site Soviet Sport.
It so happened that the Bellator Organization temporarily suspended the tournaments due to the coronavirus, but in April fans will have an opportunity to watch many cool fights, where the Turkmen athlete will also demonstrate his skills.
The winner of this mini-tournament will be one million dollars richer. The eight best fighters in the division will take part in the grand prix, six of whom have been very successful in the UFC. This is what the quarterfinal pairs look like:
April 9. Bellator 256
Ryan Bader (USA, 27-6) vs. Lyoto Machida (Brazil, 26-10)
Corey Anderson (USA, 14-5) Dovletjan Yagshymyradov (Turkmenistan, 18-5-1)
April 17. Bellator 257
Vadim Nemkov (Russia, 12-2) Phil Davis (USA, 22-5)
Anthony Johnson (USA, 22-6) vs. Yoel Romero (Cuba, 13-5)
The semi-finals will take place in July and the final in October.
After the pairs of participants were announced, the bookmakers named the expected winner. And it was Nemkov. The second is Yoel Romero. But everyone understands that bookmaker assessments are just predictions that very often do not come true.
Bookmaker quotes:
Vadim Nemkov 2.8
Yoel Romero 5.0
Ryan Bader 6.5
Anthony Johnson 8.0
Corey Anderson 11
Dovletjan Yagshymyradov 11
Phil Davis 17
Lyoto Machida 3
