Digital Security Department to Open in Several Turkmen State Entities

Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Minister of Turkmenistan Shamuhammet Durdyliyev during a government meeting on Friday reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the activities carried out in the areas under his supervision, in particular, on the opening of Information Security and Digital Technologies Department in ministries and divisions of construction and industrial complex.

In order to fulfill the Decree signed by Turkmen President on August 27, 2020 on the creation of an automated electronic database system in ministries, sectoral departments and hyakimliks (administrations) of velayats and Ashgabat city, the Vice-Premier proposed to create the corresponding departments in central offices of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Energy and the Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, TDH news agency reports.

Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significance of work on the creation of an automated electronic database system within the framework of the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy for 2019-2025.

Focusing on the important tasks of digitalizing the national economy, the Head of State instructed Vice-Premier Durdyliyev and Bayramgeldi Ovezov to continue the digitalization process in all state structures.
