1.In the southern part of the Turkmen capital, at the foot of the Kopetdag mountain system, a grand opening of a monument dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi took place.
The monument became part of a new cultural and park complex that unites 24 statues of world-famous writers and poets from different countries and eras.The opening ceremony was led by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
2.Festive events dedicated to Constitution Day were held in Ashgabat.The central part of the celebrations was the ceremony of laying flowers at the Constitution Monument and the Main Flag of the country with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In his address to his compatriots, the head of state emphasized that the Basic Law and the national banner symbolize the inviolability of independence, sovereignty and the commitment of the Turkmen people to the ideals of peace, creativity and humanism.
3. 136 two-story residential buildings in the capital's Choganly residential complex and a water treatment plant with a capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters of drinking water per day in the Bagtyyarlyk etrap will be opened on Ashgabat City Day - May 25.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered that all celebrations and opening ceremonies of new facilities planned for City Day be held at a high organizational level.
4.President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent their condolences to the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi as a result of a helicopter accident that occurred on May 19 in the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan.
5. The State Concern “Turkmengaz” is carrying out work on drilling new wells in the Mary and Lebap velayats of Turkmenistan in order to increase natural gas production in these regions.
6. “Turkmenistan” Airlines is selecting candidates for pilot training in Türkiye. The training lasts 4 years and is paid for by the airline; the remaining costs are covered by the candidate. After preliminary selection in Ashgabat, finalists undergo an interview and medical examination in Ankara. Entrance exams are held in June in Ashgabat. Documents are accepted until May 31.
