In honor of the 60th anniversary of Oleg Kononenko, Hero of Turkmenistan and commander of the “Roscosmos” cosmonaut corps, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent congratulatory messages. In his address, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the significance of Kononenko’s work for global technological progress and improving the lives of mankind.
2. A meeting between representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Ambassador of the UAE was held in Ashgabat. The main topic of discussion was preparation for the upcoming “Turkmenistan-UAE” business forum, which will be held on June 25 within the walls of the chamber.
3.This year, Turkmenistan Culture Week will be held in the new “smart” city of Arkadag from June 22 to 27.The theme of the Week is dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, as well as the first anniversary of the “smart” city.
Within the framework of the Week, the screening of the feature film “Composer” and the premiere of the play “Alem nury” on the stage of the State Drama Theater named after Aman Gulmammedov are expected.

4.Within the framework of the international exhibition Green Tech Amsterdam 2024, a special session was held dedicated to opportunities for Dutch companies in the Turkmen agricultural market.
The event brought together representatives of business circles from the Netherlands and Turkmenistan.The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov made a report in which he spoke about the economic situation in the country, the favorable business climate and preferential conditions for foreign investors.
He emphasized that Turkmenistan actively supports the development of the private sector and attracting foreign investment.
5.The new Ambassador of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan Ruslan Stoyanov presented his credentials to the Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova.During the meeting, key aspects of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, based on the principles of neutrality and equal partnership, were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the structure and functions of the Mejlis in the context of legislative support for reforms in the country.
6.A meeting of the heads of parliaments of Turkmenistan and Zimbabwe was held in Ashgabat.Dunyagozel Gulmanova, head of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, received a delegation led by Mabel Chinomona, Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament of Zimbabwe.
During the conversation, Gulmanova spoke about the key aspects of the policy of Turkmenistan, the structure of the national Parliament and the practice of exchanging experience in the legislative sphere.

11.The Spanish national team defeated Italy with a score of 1:0 in the second round of the group stage of the European Football Championship, securing access to the playoffs.
