1.President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations marking the opening of the Tejen-Mary section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway.The new highway has 6 lanes.

On each side there is an additional emergency lane, ditches and metal barriers to prevent animals and people from entering the roadway.The highway received international quality certificates confirming the high safety of the route and the use of innovative high technologies in construction.

2.The grand opening of the Maternal and Child Health Center of Mary velayat was held in the administrative center of the south-eastern region of Turkmenistan.The center is equipped with the latest technology.

High-tech equipment for ultrasound, X-ray, CT, ECG, EEG and other modern diagnostic methods is installed here.The laboratory also uses advanced global technologies for comprehensive analyses.

3. A solemn opening ceremony of the first stage of a cottage complex being built along the Mary-Ashgabat highway was held in Mary velayat. The first 59 two-story comfortable cottages out of a planned 200 were put into operation.

4. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov donated about 200 modern passenger buses to the residents of Mary velayat for high-quality transport services in the region.

5.The cross-border tourist train “Along the Great Silk Road” passed through the territory of Turkmenistan. 36 tourists from 9 countries visited the cities of Mary, Ashgabat and Dashoguz, getting acquainted with the monuments of Ancient Merv, the sights of Ashgabat and the burning natural gas crater of Darvaza.

The tour was organized by the British company Golden Eagle.

6.In order to perpetuate the exploits of the heroes of Turkmenistan in the Great Patriotic War, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan has begun a series of publications about them.

The initiative was launched on the eve of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.The Embassy encourages all citizens of Turkmenistan to share family stories of their heroic ancestors so that their exploits can be included in the archives of the diplomatic mission.

9.The third round matches of the ongoing international ice hockey tournament in Ashgabat have ended.Eight-time champion of Turkmenistan “Galkan” won the third major victory in the tournament, this time over the “Ice Box” team from Iran with a score of 13:1.

Thus, after three rounds in group “A”, “Galkan” holds the lead with 9 points.In group “B”, the leadership with 6 points is shared by “ORKHIS-Kazan” and the Belarusian “Volat” and the Kazakh “Aqmola”.

10.In the second quarter-final match of the Champions League, “Real Madrid” defeated English “Manchester City” away.The first meeting of these teams ended in a draw with a score of 3:3.
