The news outlet “Strana.ua”, referring to the University press affairs office, reports that the administration of the Bogomoltz National Medical University has suspended deputy dean Tatyana Timokhina from fulfilling her duties.
She is under investigation for allegations of causing a Turkmen female student Mukaddas Nasyrlayeva to commit suicide.
The administration of the National Medical University named after Bogomoltz suspended Tatyana Timokhina, deputy dean responsible for relations with foreign students, from fulfilling her duties during the investigation of the case of the missing student. The application by deputy dean T. Timokhina requesting her job suspension has been accepted, — the news outlet reports.
The relevant order №314 was signed on 19 February in connection with the investigation carried out by Solominsk department of the National Police Authority in Kiev regarding the circumstances of Nasyrlayeva’s disappearance.
An internal inspection is underway.
The public prosecutor’s office initiated criminal proceedings for the alleged incitement to suicide committed by a resident of Turkmenistan Mukaddas Nasyrlayeva based in Kiev by the administration of the Bogomoltz National Medical University.
According to the information disclosed by mass media, the girl might have been prompted to commit suicide because of difficulties she had during her study at the University as well as misunderstandings with the University’s administration.
According to attorneys of the victim’s relatives, before the suicide Nasyrlayeva had a conflict with deputy dean Tatyana Timokhina because the latter refused to render assistance in extending her residence permit in Ukraine.
