Delivery of cars from Japan to Central Asia was accelerated thanks to the transit through the People’s Republic of China

During the holidays on the occasion of traditional Chinese New year by the lunar calendar a batch of cars of Japanese manufacture was delivered by a special transit train to Kazakhstan through the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Xinhua News Agency reports on it.

The new transit train allowed saving more than half of time of delivery to the Central Asian region the commodity cars made in the countries of East Asia.

According to the representative of customs of Horgos, the given batch of cars was sent from Japan to the Chinese port Dayaowan, was delivered to the check point of Horgos in Xinjiang by rail, and then was forwarded to Kazakhstan.

This event marks opening of the multimodal transport channel for delivery to Central Asia commodity cars from the countries of East Asia.The given party from 220 cars of Japanese manufacture consists of 133 cars of mark Toyota costing 4, 1 million US dollars and 87 cars of mark of Lexus costing 3, 42 million US dollars.

According to Li Syufen, the manager of one of the international transport-forwarding companies in Horgos, earlier a way of delivery of Japanese commodity cars to Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, lay through the Indian Ocean, Mediterranean and Black seas and also through Russia.

All process of transportation occupied more than 80 days.After opening of the new multimodal transport channel this time was reduced approximately by 30 days.
