Delegation of the Al Wathba cycling team from the UAE paid a visit to Turkmenistan

A delegation of the Al Wathba cycling team (UAE) paid a friendly visit to Turkmenistan, Al-Ittihad reports.

The visit took place at the invitation of the Cycling Federation of Turkmenistan with the assistance of the UAE Embassy in Ashgabat.

During the visit, the delegation of the Al Wathba cycling team met with the chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan Gulmyrat Agamyradov.The parties discussed the prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports.

The UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Alhay Hamad Khamis Al-Khameli also took part in the meeting.

The Turkmen side has prepared an extensive program for the guests. The delegation visited the Ashgabat Olympic Village, the cycle track, the National Museum of the Turkmen Carpet and the hippodrome. At the hippodrome, the guests were shown a performance with the participation of the best Turkmen masters of horse riding.

The riders of the Al Wathba team held a series of trainings in the suburbs of Ashgabat with the national team of Turkmenistan in road cycling.

Thanks to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, a number of ministries and departments, the Cycling Federation of Turkmenistan, as well as the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan, the visit of the Emirati delegation was held at the highest organizational and professional level, the source notes.
