On July 30-31, 2024, a delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, consisting of the head of the technical support department and employees of the customs procedures automation department, visited Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan to study the experience of Uzbek customs in creating a Customs Clearance Center, as well as to get acquainted with the principles of operation of customs posts in Uzbekistan.
For this purpose, the delegation members visited the Customs Clearance Center, established in August 2023 under the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.The complex includes a Data Processing Center, a remote electronic declaration post, a call center, targeting and risk management departments.
The information system is integrated with the databases of foreign departments, local ministries and departments, entities engaged in foreign economic activity, and airlines.
The remote electronic declaration post promptly processes cargo customs declarations, as well as requests received by the customs committee call center via the hotline "11-08" and through the department's website.
The Targeting and Risk Management Department analyzes data from 50 customs information systems and 3 information systems of the World Customs Organization, as well as data from more than 30 departments and customs of foreign countries, assesses risks, and remotely monitors the activities of all customs posts.
As part of the visit, the delegation also visited the Arkbulok and Chukursay Tech Office foreign economic activity posts, as well as the Yallama border post to familiarize themselves with the organization process and operating principles of these customs facilities.
This trip was important both for the development of bilateral cooperation and for the application of Uzbekistan's positive experience in creating the Control and Analytical Center of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
