Days of Russian Culture ended in Ashgabat

The closing ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan was held at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The central event of the program was the classical music concert “Towards the Anniversary of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky”, where the soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic Society Dmitry Masleev performed works by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff.

The day before, the pianist also held a master class for students of the special music boarding school at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva.

Within the framework of the Days of Culture, the Turkmen public was presented with the exhibition “Planet Tchaikovsky” from the Russian National Museum of Music, an exposition of works of applied art “Patchwork Mosaic of Russia” and a photo exhibition of works by Russian photo artists.

Of particular interest was the performance of the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Adygea “Nalmes”, which was sold out. The artists of the ensemble not only showed a concert program, but also shared the secrets of folk-stage choreography with Turkmen dance groups as part of a special master class.

-It is a great honor for me to perform on the stage of such a wonderful Palace of Mukams in the beautiful city of Ashgabat, - Dmitry Masleev shared his impressions with a correspondent of “Neutral Turkmenistan”, noting the special beauty of the Turkmen capital and the high level of training of local student musicians.

Participants in the cultural program emphasized the importance of such events for strengthening humanitarian dialogue and mutual understanding between the peoples of Russia and Turkmenistan.
