The opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan was held at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.Masters of culture and arts from Russia presented a bright show, in which the central place was occupied by the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Adygea “Nalmes”, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The “Nalmes” ensemble opened the program with the ancient dance “Islamey”, reminiscent of the flight of birds.Later, the audience saw a dance with daggers, the “Necklace of Folk Dances of the Adyghe Diaspora”, and the choreographic composition “Nalmes Dances”.
The choreographic novella “Nalmes Nalkut” used elements of classical dance mixed with national Caucasian movements.The concert also included a potpourri on ancient folk instruments and other creative numbers, which caused a storm of applause from the audience.
An exhibition of works by photographers and works of applied art entitled “Patchwork Mosaic of Russia” was organized in the foyer of the Palace of Mukams, prepared by the State Russian House of Folk Art named after V.D. Polenov.
Within the framework of the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation, members of the Russian delegation took part in a flower-laying ceremony at the Magtymguly Fragi monument in the foothills of the Kopetdag and visited the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet.
A cultural program was also prepared for the guests from Russia, including an introduction to the sights of Ashgabat and unique exhibits of its museums.
On October 17, the events will continue with a master class from soloists of the “Nalmes” ensemble, the “Planet Tchaikovsky” exhibition, and a performance by the famous pianist Dmitry Masleev.
