Customs services of Turkmenistan and Japan strengthen cooperation

The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan held an online training with the participation of Japanese experts on the implementation of the institute of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO), the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports. Representatives of the Customs and Tariffs Administration of the Ministry of Finance of Japan shared their experience in this area.

AEO is an internationally recognized standard that simplifies customs procedures for reliable participants in foreign economic activity. The program complies with the standards of the World Customs Organization and ensures the security of the supply chain of goods.

During the seminar, the prospects for cooperation between the customs services of Turkmenistan and Japan were discussed, including the possibility of concluding an agreement on mutual recognition of AEO. The Japanese side expressed its readiness for further exchange of experience in various areas of customs affairs.
