Customs officers of Turkmenistan took part in the discussion of container transportation control issues

The heads of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan along with their colleagues from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the discussion of the control of cargo/container transportation.

As per the official website of the Service, interregional meeting was held online in the framework of the Global Program of UNODC and the World Customs Organization (WCO) for the Container Control (CCP).

The meeting also discussed the principles of fair practices and integrity in the customs sphere, strengthening cooperation between the customs services of the CCP member countries in order to identify high-risk cargo in the current situation.

At the end of the meeting a joint declaration was adopted by the participants.

The Container Traffic Control Program implementation started in 2004 with the aim of strengthening of the potential of the countries participants on the risks management, supply line security provision and simplification of trade procedures at land, sea and air border crossing points.
