Customs of Turkmenistan Enables Electronic Goods Information Submission in Advance

State Customs Service of Turkmenistan have granted carriers or other interested parties the opportunity, effective June 1, 2024, to submit preliminary electronic information about goods intended for import into the customs territory of Turkmenistan before their actual arrival.

As reported on Thursday by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the advance electronic information can be submitted to customs authorities through the ASYCUDA World customs information system and in accordance with the "Customs Convention on the International Transport of Goods under Cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention)" (IRU) information system TIR-EPD in Turkmen, Russian, or English languages.

The submitted preliminary electronic information about goods intended for import into the customs territory of Turkmenistan, including transit transport, is aimed at stimulating foreign trade activities by expediting customs clearance by customs authorities.

The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan is a state administrative body responsible for implementing the state policy on regulating the customs system of the country and complying with international obligations in the field of customs affairs.
