During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahalliyev, responsible for issues of the agro-industrial complex, reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the results of work in the area under his supervision for eleven months of this year, TDH reports.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in general, in the agricultural sector the growth rate of production volumes compared to the same period last year amounted to 102.6%.
At the same time, for the Ministry of Agriculture - 102.7%, the Ministry of Environmental Protection - 100.1%, the State Committee for Water Resources - 102%, the State Association "Turkmen Atlary" - 101.9%.
The investment development plan was completed by 227%.
He also said that wheat crops are currently being taken care of in Turkmenistan, cotton harvesting continues in the regions, and sugar beets are being harvested in Mary velayat.
“At the same time, land is being plowed for sowing next year’s cotton, equipment and units that will be used in agricultural work are being prepared. In addition, steps are being taken to develop livestock farming, increase the number of livestock, as well as ensure a warm and satisfying winter for them,” Atahalliyev noted.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of conducting seasonal agricultural campaigns in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, with high quality and on time.In this regard, the head of state ordered to keep under strict control the preparatory work on which next year’s harvest depends, as well as to take the necessary measures to improve the land reclamation condition.
