Cooperation between Turkmenistan and Scandinavian countries is reaching a new level

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova held a joint meeting with the ambassadors of Norway and Sweden to Turkmenistan - John Mikal Kvistad and Thomas Danestad, respectively, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

The purpose of the negotiations was to discuss the expansion of interaction between Turkmenistan and the Scandinavian states within the European Union, in particular in the context of the EU Global Gateway initiative.

During the meeting, diplomats expressed interest in intensifying trade and economic cooperation and establishing closer contacts between the business circles of the countries.

The participants consider the promotion of cultural and humanitarian partnership to be an important aspect of developing relations. Possible joint projects include organizing Days of Culture, holding exhibitions and other large-scale events in the field of culture and art.
