Conscripts of the Turkmen army urged to learn information about a new gasoline plant

According to a daily routine of the Turkmen army, recruits watch Turkmen television for 1 to 2 hours a day, primarily newscasts or the President’s speeches.

Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that one of the TV broadcasts was devoted to a newly-built gas-to-gasoline plant.

Then conscripts were forced to learn the facts about the plant and its accomplishments and during the next classes they had to revise lessons learned.

As regards products manufactured by the facility, synthetic petrol, which is referred to Eco-93 (A92 standard Euro 5 petrol), is not popular among local drivers.

It is not available in all filing stations. The columns at filling stations which sell this petrol grade are nearly always empty despite the fact that drivers queue to buy regular A-92 or A-95 grades.

Let us recall that standard A-92 grade petrol costs 1,35 manats per liter (the current price for the US dollar ranges from 17,7 to 17,9 manats per liter), А-95 is sold at 1,5 manats, whereas 2 manats is charged at Eco-93.

Drivers do not understand why this petrol is better than other grades of petrol and why they have to pay more.

Let us recall that on 28 June the opening ceremony for the gas-to-gasoline plant, which had recently been built in Akhal velayat, was held with President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov in attendance.

On the way back to the capital he stopped at the filling station to fill up the gas tank with “pure synthetic petrol”.
