Commemorative Ceremony in Kyiv Honors Turkmen Poet Magtymguly Pyragy

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine organized a solemn flower-laying ceremony at the monument of Magtymguly Pyragy, the national poet of Turkmenistan, in Kyiv to mark the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as Poetry.

According to the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, heads and representatives of foreign missions, members of the Ukrainian Parliament, representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, institutions of higher education, general education and music schools, Ukrainian companies operating in Turkmenistan, libraries of Kyiv, cultural and artistic figures, journalists, Turkmen youth, and many other guests attended the event.

Following the ceremony, Ambassador Toyly Atayev of Turkmenistan to Ukraine invited guests to the Embassy of Turkmenistan. He addressed the attendees, highlighting the significant contributions of craftsmen in folk crafts and artists of Turkmenistan.

The event recognized achievements in the development of international cooperation and discussed the upcoming International Forum of Heads of State and Government in honor of the 300th anniversary of Pyragy, scheduled to take place in Ashgabat in October this year.

Participants also had the opportunity to view an exhibition featuring books, artistic paintings, and samples of traditional Turkmen clothing.
