Chinese Company to Build Onshore Facilities at Turkmen Gas Fields

China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation (CPECC) has won a tender for the design and turnkey construction of onshore structures at six gas fields in the western section of the Bagtyyarlyk contract area, the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) reported on its official website on Monday.

Within the framework of the project six fields Gadyn, North Gadyn, Iljik, East Iljik, Kishtuvan and West Kishtuvan will be put into operation, according to the report.

The CPECC will build 22 wells, 4 gas gathering stations, pipelines, engineering and technical support networks, including power supply and water supply, and other industrial infrastructure facilities. Their total design capacity will be 1.8 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

The CPECC is a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The company is currently constructing onshore facilities at the West Joramergen, Gokmiyar and Dashrabat fields located in the eastern section of the Bagtyyarlyk contract area.
