China will provide 600 scholarships for study at universities and finance the retraining of 1,500 specialists from Central Asian countries in the next three years. This was announced by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi following the fifth China-Central Asia ministerial meeting held in Chengdu on Sunday, CGTN reports.
Recall that the 5th meeting of the foreign ministers of China and Central Asian countries was chaired by the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.It was also attended by the foreign ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed preparations for the second China-Central Asia summit, which will be held next year in Kazakhstan, reaffirming their commitment to developing economic ties and strengthening cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Earlier, it was reported that the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan announced the selection of candidates for undergraduate programs in higher education institutions in Hungary and China for the 2025/2026 academic year.
