China Southern Airlines resumes regular flights from Urumqi to Ashgabat

On April 25, 2023, the Chinese airline China Southern Airlines resumed regular flights from Urumqi (PRC) to Ashgabat (Turkmenistan). Flight CZ6015 from Urumqi landed on Tuesday evening at Ashgabat International Airport.

Flights were suspended in the spring of 2020, when restrictions were introduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

China Southern Airlines will operate direct scheduled flights from Urumqi (URC) to Ashgabat (ASB) on Tuesdays. Flights will be operated on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Departing flight CZ6015 will depart Urumqi (URC) on Tuesday at 22:20 Beijing time and arrive in Ashgabat (ASB) around 23:30 local time. The return flight CZ6016 will depart Ashgabat as early as Wednesday at 01:00 local time and then arrive in Urumqi at 07:35 Beijing time.

China Southern Airlines is based in Guangzhou, China. It is the largest Asian airline in terms of fleet size, as well as the largest air carrier in Asia.

Urumqi is an urban district in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. The residents of the city are served by Divopu International Airport.
