China increased imports of Turkmen gas by 53% in January-October 2022

The cost of pipeline gas supplies from Turkmenistan to China in January-October 2022 amounted to 8,23 billion USD, which is 53% more compared to the same period in 2021, reports TASS with reference to China's General Administration of Customs.

In accordance with the given data, Turkmenistan continues to hold the first place among the states supplying fuel to China through the gas pipeline.

“For 10 months, deliveries from Turkmenistan amounted to 8,23 billion USD (plus 53% year on year).In second place is Russia (3,1 billion USD, up 182%), followed by Myanmar (1,13 billion USD, down 2,6%).

In fourth place is Kazakhstan (996,5 million USD, plus 15,2%), in fifth place is Uzbekistan (916,7 million USD, plus 52,5%)”, the report says.

Let us note that Turkmenistan ranks fourth in the world in terms of proven reserves of natural gas.
