Central Bazaar in Turkmenistan’s Lebap Opens After Major Reconstruction

The Central Bazaar of Lebap Province Consumer’s Society opened after major reconstruction on Tuesday.

The construction works of the bazaar in Turkmenistan’s eastern province of Lebap was carried out by Mizemez Watan private enterprise, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The bazaar, covering 3 hectares of area, has 283 stores, the official Turkmen media reports.

157 stores in the central bazaar are for the trade of food products, and 126 are for the trade of industrial goods. The bazaar also has 1,584-meter trade stalls with 880 food shops, and 4 cafes serving a variety of national dishes.

The modern bazaar, surrounded by landscaping, additionally has bus stops and special areas for car parking.

In early December, a new residential complex for 1,280 families was opened in the administrative center of Turkmenistan's Lebap province along the highway leading to Turkmenabat International Airport.
