In the first quarter of 2025, Brussels will host an exhibition of Turkmen products, which will open access to the rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan for the European audience.
This was agreed upon at a meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov, the Secretary General of the European Network for Cultural Management and Policy (ENCATC) Giannalia Cogliandro Beyens and the founder of the creative agency Caravan Cultura Elena Van Kharitonova.
ENCATC, the leading European platform in the field of cultural management and cultural policy, actively promotes the development of sustainable cultural initiatives and the creation of a dialogue space for the exchange of experience and knowledge at the international level.
The organization is also an official partner of UNESCO and an observer in the Committee on Culture of the Council of Europe.
The meeting emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy as an instrument of international rapprochement and mutual understanding. In 2025, declared the International Year of Peace and Trust, cultural diplomacy acquires special significance as a neutral and unifying force. The parties noted that cultural bridges represent the strongest and most lasting ties between peoples, promoting trust and friendship.
In addition, the organization of the ENCATC mission to Turkmenistan to create an international cultural dialogue and a deeper understanding of Turkmen culture was discussed. This will bring together artists and cultural figures from all over the world, strengthening international cultural ties and expanding the audience familiar with the unique cultural heritage of Turkmenistan.
Thus, both parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation aimed at creating a strong cultural bridge between Turkmenistan and Europe and promoting a peaceful cultural policy.
