The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a briefing, focused on the decisions taken during the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers as well as the tasks, the President of Turkmenistan set to the Turkmen diplomats in the context of the implementation of the foreign-policy strategy of Turkmenistan.
The heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of Turkmenistan in foreign states, the specialists of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, mass media as well as students attended the meeting.
Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN, Aksoltan Atayeva, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, Gurbanmamet Elyasov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the French Republic, Shohrat Djumaev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ahmet Gurbanov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Turkish Republic, Ishanguly Amanlyev as well as the editor-in-chief of “Diyar” Magazine Gurbannazar Orazgulyev and editor-in-chief of “Turkmenistan” newspaper Kakamurat Redjepov.
The main idea of the meeting was the words of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers: “At present, we set the practical tasks to the foreign service and embassies of Turkmenistan in foreign state for the next few years.
All these tasks should serve our main goal and should strengthen the role of Turkmenistan as a peace-loving state that ensures and enhances the stability and security, implements the programme of sustainable development. “To ensure this, our neutral state continues establishing friendly relations with neighbouring and other states on the planet, based on the principles of mutual respect.
Our diplomatic representatives abroad should inspire the interest in the economic and export opportunities of Turkmenistan, its investment attractiveness and cooperation”.During the briefing, it was underlined the importance of the Resolutions, signed by the President of Turkmenistan on December 6.
Among them are the Resolutions on holding the international conference and events, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of neutrality as well as the organization of the International conference of Ministers of Transport of developing states with no seaboard, the Resolution of opening the Consulate-general of Turkmenistan in Kazan and other documents, aimed at increasing the international authority of the country and enhancing the multi-format foreign-policy dialogue.
