Bob Dylan's unique CD sold under the hammer for 1,77 million USD

On the other day Sotheby's auction house sold the first studio recording of Bob Dylan's legendary song “Blowin' In The Wind”.The re-recording was made for the first time since 1962, when this song was written.

Thus, the record is the only copy with the recording of the song “Blowin' in the wind”, made by the musician in 2021.

As reports the publication elitethings.com, the disc was recorded using the new Ionic Original format, which combines the advantages of CDs and vinyl records.

To store the record, on an individual order, a box was made of walnut and white oak. Initially, for this lot, the specialists of the auction house planned to raise from 750 000 to 1 250 000 USD. However, during the auction, the first studio recording, “Blowin' In The Wind”, was sold for 1,77 million USD.
