BMW cars can now be unlocked from a smartphone, reports Gazeta.ru with reference to the Android Police portal.
Locking and unlocking the car is possible for owners of Samsung and Google smartphones that are compatible with the Digital Key Plus system built into the car.The system supports models such as Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, S21+, S21 Ultra, S22+, S22 Ultra, S23+, S23 Ultra, Z Fold3 and 4, as well as Google Pixel 6 Pro and 7 Pro.
True, for now, the innovation will only work for BMW cars released no earlier than November 2022, but in the future, it is planned to refine the Digital Key Plus system to make it compatible with older models.
