Berdymukhammedov orders to purchase antiviral medications in Russia

The Central Pharmaceutical Association of Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry intends to purchase antiviral medications in “sufficient quantity” in Russia.

The state information agency TDH report that the relevant decree was issued by President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov.

It was reported in April that the Russian pharmaceuticals company “Medsintez” supplied a large batch of “Triazavirin”, which is currently undergoing clinical trials in China as coronavirus medication, to Turkmenistan.

It should be highlighted that new measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are being introduced in Turkmenistan while the authorities are still denying coronavirus cases.

Independent media outlets are reported deaths caused by pneumonia.
