The state information agency TDH reports that the 6th issue of the magazine “Politika i obshchestvo” (“Politics and Society”) for 2018 was released by Turkmenistan’s Arсhival Fund.
The magazine gives an enthusiastic coverage of Turkmenistan’s numerous accomplishments in 2018. “The year was marked with a further increase of Turkmenistan’s credibility in the international arena, building up its geopolitical and geoeconomic potential. This topic was reflected in the article devoted to the growing role of our country in global processes”, TDH reports.
President Berdymukahmmedov’s perception of mass media role is quite interesting. It turns out that “the leader of the nation perceives the efficient use of information as an inseparable component of the state politics”.
Mass media are the important means of mobilizing residents to address specific tasks and shaping ideological and political qualities, TDH quotes the President.
“Mass media ensures a shared media space by enjoying popularity and impacting individual and collective consciousness. This is of pivotal importance for shaping the national mindset and ideological and political education of citizens, the state information agency says.
It should be emphasized that disseminating political views and ideology with the view of impacting collective consciousness is nothing more than propaganda by definition.
