On 30 December, 2020 President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov held a joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Security Council, in the course of which he issued severe reprimands to Deputy Prime Minister overseeing construction and industry Shamukhammet Durdylyev, Minister of Energy Charymyrat Purchekov and Deputy Minister of Energy Batyr Khudaiberdiev for power outages, the state information agency TDH reports.
In television footage Berdymukhammedov said that there was no electricity from 8:54 to 11:45 p.m.
