Berdimuhamedov congratulated the Emperor of Japan on the successful commissioning of a gas turbine power plant in Turkmenistan

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has sent a letter to the Emperor of Japan Naruhito of congratulations on the occasion of the opening in Lebap gas turbine power plant, implemented with the participation of well-known Japanese companies.

In his message, the head of state called the commissioning of the gas turbine power plant another symbol of constructive Turkmen-Japanese cooperation.

According to Berdymuhamedov, this facility is of great importance not only in increasing the strategic energy potential of our country, but also for a stable and reliable energy supply to the entire region, including neighboring Afghanistan.

At the end of his message, the President of Turkmenistan expressed his conviction that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan, "based on the principles of trust and mutual respect", will continue to develop and improve in the interests of the two peoples.

Recall that on September 3, a gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 432 MW was put into operation in the Charjev etrap of the Lebap velayat. The project was implemented by the State Concern "Turkmenenergo" with the Japanese companies Sumitomo Corporation, Mitsubishi Power Ltd and the Turkish Rönesans Holding.
