Bellator announces light heavyweight grand prix

The American sports organization Bellator has announced a light heavyweight grand prix with a belt and $ 1 million at stake. The grid is made up of 8 fighters and will start with the quarterfinals.

Mixed martial arts fighter from Turkmenistan Dovletjan Yagshimuradov will meet Corey Anderson (USA) in the first round on April 9, 2021. This will be the debut fight of the Turkmen athlete in Bellator. On the same day, ex-Bellator champion Ryan Bader (USA) will fight with former UFC championLyoto Carvalho Machida (Brazil).

On April 16, 2021, the current title holder, Russian fighter Vadim Nemkov, will face American Phil Davis in the first round, whom he had already won by split decision in November 2018.

In the same tournament, ex-contenders for the UFC titles will fight: Anthony Kewoa Johnson (USA) and Yoel Romero (Cuba), for whom this will be their debut in the organization.
