Bellator announces date for Light Heavyweight Grand Prix final

Mixed martial arts fans will know the name of the Bellator light heavyweight champion in April. The promotion has announced the date of the Grand Prix finals - the long-awaited fight will take place on April 15 in San Jose (USA).

Russian light heavyweight, Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov and US representative Cory Anderson will fight in the grand prix final, where they will compete for a prize of one million dollars.

The fight between Nemkov and Anderson was supposed to take place at the end of December, then in January. Now the final fight of the Grand Prix will be held as part of the Bellator 277 tournament.

Corey Anderson defeated Ryan Bader via TKO in the first round. In April 2021, at the Bellator 257 tournament, he defeated the Turkmen fighters Dovletjan Yagshimuradov by technical knockout in the third round. In total, he has eighteen wins and five losses in his record.

Vadim Nemkov in the last fight held a “kimura” to Julius Anglickas in the fourth round. He has fourteen wins and two losses.
